| Brian Finn (Edward Norton, who also produced and directed) and Jake Schram (Ben Stiller) were best buds in junior high, and for a couple of years there was a third best bud -- Anna Reilly (Jenna Elfman) -- but in the eighth grade she moved away from New York (where all the action, using the term loosely, takes place) to California. Finn went on to become a non-traditional Catholic priest, and Schram, not to be outdone, trained as a non-traditional rabbi. Now, eighteen years later a very successful young business analyst, Reilly comes back to New York and immediately falls in with the old crowd.
